Situated in Saint Ignace, within 2 km of Kiwanis Beach and 4 km of Mackinac Bridge, Bayview Lakefront Inn offers accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi throughout the property, as well as free private parking for guests who drive. This motel features a private beach area with sun loungers and beach chairs, plus an outdoor fireplace and picnic area for guest use. All rooms at Bayview Lakefront Inn include a desk, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with free toiletries and towels. Rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a private entrance, and heating, while some provide views of the lakefront. A continental breakfast is not available, but the property does include a tea/coffee maker in each room. The motel offers express check-in/check-out, daily housekeeping, and a shuttle service that can be arranged by staff on site. Pellston Regional Airport is 39 km from the property. Guests can enjoy fishing on the beach or explore the surrounding area, which features a quiet lakeside vibe with geese and other water birds observed in the mornings.
Pros
The private beach area with sun loungers and a fire pit provides a serene spot for relaxation and family games.
Parking is directly in front of each room, allowing easy access to vehicles and the lakefront within a 6.1 m walk.
The motel's location in St. Ignace offers easier access to ferries compared to Mackinaw City.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, with one guest noting the manager's accommodating assistance.
The rooms feature a rustic, knotty pine decor and mid-century modern furniture, providing a unique, non-cookie-cutter experience.
Cons
The entrance has a very high step (10 to 12 inches) into the room, which can cause tripping for some guests.
The bathroom is extremely small with a tin shower stall, and the shower's water pressure and temperature regulation may be challenging.
