About the Island Hotel
Jacob'S Inn - A budget-friendly bed and breakfast near Stone Town Beach and cultural landmarks
Jacob'S Inn is a 3-star budget-friendly bed and breakfast located 500 metres from Stone Town Beach and less than 1 km from Sultan's Palace. The property offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, soundproofing, and city or inner courtyard views, along with work desks and free toiletries. A continental breakfast with local specialities, juice, and fruits is served each morning, and guests can also order à la carte options prepared on request. The inn provides free Wi-Fi throughout, a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, laundry services, and a safety deposit box. Spa and wellness facilities include massage services, yoga classes, and spa packages, while leisure activities such as cycling, walking tours, and scuba diving can be arranged nearby. The property is a 7 km drive from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, with a paid shuttle service available. The surrounding area features the Peace Memorial Museum, House of Wonders, and the Old Fort of Zanzibar, all within walking distance. The neighbourhood is quiet and next to the Musical Academy, where taarab concerts are occasionally held, yet it remains a short walk from downtown Stone Town. Jacob'S Inn also offers family rooms, a shared lounge/TV area, and private parking on site, which is rare in the area. Breakfast at Jacob'S Inn is often highlighted by guests for its local touch, including chipsi mayai, chapati, and Zanzibar spiced coffee.
